Biography:
HIGH SCHOOL Honorable-mention All-America honors from USA Today and SuperPrep in 1999. Three time All-state defensive lineman at Granger High School, Utah, and also Region II Most-Valuable-Player. Was recruited by Nebraska, Illinois, Notre Dame, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah.
COLLEGE Transferred from Nebraska and red-shirted in 2002. Played as a true freshman at Nebraska and was credited with three tackles against Miami (Fla.) in the 2002 Rose Bowl.
PERSONAL Was one of seven children in his home. Manaia married Tupusina Schwenke while at BYU. [LDS]
