Honorable-mention All-America honors from USA Today and SuperPrep in 1999. Three time All-state defensive lineman at Granger High School, Utah, and also Region II Most-Valuable-Player. Was recruited by Nebraska, Illinois, Notre Dame, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State, Utah.
COLLEGE
Transferred from Nebraska and red-shirted in 2002. Played as a true freshman at Nebraska and was credited with three tackles against Miami (Fla.) in the 2002 Rose Bowl.
