Phillips rushed for more than 1,200 yards as a sophomore in 2007.
Awards:
He was selected All-Marshall County and teams MVP offensive player in 2007.
2008: Phillips was selected as Marshall County's MVP, Marshall County All-County team, the Gadsden Times All-Area team and MVP, Huntsville Elite All-Metro Team, and honorable mention All-State by the ASWA (5A).
Phillips also shattered school records for most rushing yards in a single season, and longest punt return for a touchdown in school history, (99 yards).
2008 Week 6 Stars of Alabama: 37 carries for 231 yards and two touchdowns of three and 13 yards
2008: Phillips finished his junior season with 2,196 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns on 317 attempts. He averaged 7.2 yards per carry.
Phillips also played quarterback out of the "wildcat" formation where he passed for 222-yards and four touchdowns. Phillips threw the team's first touchdown pass of the season.
2009: Star of Alabama Week Three vs. Albertville, 248 yards rushing on 36 carries.
