Joshua Quezada from La Habra High School has indeed played as a top running back/safety recruit from Southern California. As his team is set to begin the state playoffs as the top seed, he’s going to have to juggle official trips on virtually every weekend until he transfers midyear and joins a Division I program this coming January. Head coach Bronco Mendenhall informed the media that the Cougar coaching staff will try and bring in a midyear transfer from the junior college ranks to shore up the defensive backfield for next season. Citrus Community College’s Christyn Lewis appears to fit that bill, as BYU offered him a scholarship about a week after Mendenhall made that statement.

In the past few weeks I’ve seen some great games, but for sheer drama and emotion, the Skyline/Bothell game held Thursday night at Pop Keeney Stadium was about as good as it gets. The teams went back and forth throughout the night, but in the end the Cougars came away with the thrilling 25-20 win and the Kingco 4A title. Full Story
