As a two-way player, Murphy has also enjoyed much offensive success. He is following up a junior season in which he recorded 30 receptions, 530 yards and eight touchdowns.

Murphy, on the left, weaves in and out of defenders towards the end zone. The Cavemen defeated the Vikings 34-14.

During the game, Murphy was able to intercept a pass at midfield that eventually led to AF quarterback Taylor James’ touchdown pass.

Last year Murphy played the safety spot, but he now plays outside linebacker, among other positions when called upon.
Murphy Goes Deep
Murphy splits the defense and goes downfield. Against California high school powerhouse Mater Dei, Murphy racked up a gaudy 189-yards receiving and five touchdowns. His touchdowns were 77, 23, 15, 34 and 27 yards.
All In A Days Work
Murphy helped lead his team to a share of the Region 4 crown. The Cavemen look to advance into the state playoffs with a favorable first place seeding in region.
