BYU Corners Keep Getting Better

Five games into conference play, BYU's two starting cornerbacks have served notice that the deep ball is no longer an option for Cougar opponents. So far, it appear that opposing offenses got the message. BYU is not just defending the long stuff well either. The Cougar secondary is making it difficult for opposing quarterbacks to throw anywhere on the field.

BYU's defensive backs are playing so well that linebacker Cameron Jensen had problems recalling the last time the defense got beat over the top. "I honestly can't remember the last time there was a deep ball thrown on us," said Jensen. "It's not just the cornerbacks, but the whole secondary.
