Snow College in Ephraim, Utah is 8-1 and ranked among the top junior colleges in the nation. Much of Snow’s success can be traced to starting quarterback Cade Cooper, who has thrown for around 2,450 yards through 9 games with 24 touchdowns and just 7 interceptions. With numbers like that, it should come as no surprise that Cooper is hearing from major D-I programs.

“I’ve had some calls and I have some offers with some other schools who haven’t offered looking like they may,” said 6-foot-3, 205-pound Cade Cooper. “I have offers from BYU, Utah State, Weber State, Northern Arizona and Troy State so far.”

Cooper mentioned that he has been getting a lot of attention from Oklahoma, Nebraska and Boston College and is in the process of scheduling trips to those schools. BYU offered a scholarship to Cooper about a week ago. His primary contacts at BYU are assistant coaches Paul Tidwell and Brandon Doman.

The BYU offer is very attractive to Cooper who played prep ball at Timpview High School in Provo and grew up a BYU fan.

“I like BYU a lot obviously and playing for them would be great,” said Cooper, “but I’m not in a hurry to make a decision. I have some options, and I’m going to consider all of my options before committing anywhere.”

Cooper will trip to BYU the weekend after Snow’s bowl game. He will also visit the other schools that are recruiting him, hoping for an offer to come his way.

“I just want to wait for all my options to come in and then decide,” said Cooper. “It’s a big decision, and I want to play for a good program.”
