Entering fall camp BYU coaches had a number of holes to fill due to injuries and graduation. True to his coaching philosophy, Bronco Mendenhall did not limit who could compete for the open spots. When the dust cleared after fall camp, a high number of freshman found themselves in position to see the field this season.

When the two-deep roster was released this morning, it included the names of four newcomers, three of whom were on the defensive line.
