Thor Pili Will Take BYU Visit After All

THOR PILI

One of Utah's most highly-recruited defensive line prospects will not verbally commit to Oregon or Utah on Friday as planned and will now take a weekend recruiting trip to BYU before he announces his final decision next week, TotalBlueSports.com has learned.

Thor Pili, a 6-5, 240-pound defensive end/linebacker from Timpanogos High School, told TBS Thursday night that Oregon and Utah remain his frontrunners right now.

"I wasn't planning to make the trip to BYU, but I decided to after talking to the coaches."

Pili noted the two head coaches from Oregon and Utah visited him and his parents at home this week.

"I kind of thought that BYU wasn't that interested in me," Pili said, adding that "the coaches from Utah and Oregon visit me every week."

"I'll probably be ready to commit on Monday or Tuesday next week," he added.

Pili's uncle, Ifo Pili, started last season at defensive tackle for the Cougars.
