"It was one of the biggest days we've had in a long time," according to BYU ticket manager David Miles. "We have a lot of good seats still available for the Georgia Tech game. But, they are going fast, so I would encourage people to get their tickets now."
With the season set to begin in about three weeks, season-ticket sales are going well, with more than 27,600 season tickets have been sold so far, Miles said.
Miles added good season tickets are still available. Packages start at $90 for end zone seating and $156 for sideline seats. Fans who contribute to the Cougar Club at the Legacy level may also purchase west-side chair seats for only $250.
In addition to season ticket packages, Cougar fans can purchase individual game tickets by contacting the Marriott Center ticket office at (801) 378-BYU1 or (800) 322-BYU1.
BYU athletics director Val Hale said the athletics department has sold nearly 80 percent of the new east-side club seats. There are apparently good seats still available in this section.
Fans who contribute a minimum $1,000 to the Cougar Club qualify to purchase season tickets in section 34, located between the 40-yard lines on the east side of Edwards Stadium. Season-ticket holders in this section will also receive special amenities, including priority parking, a meal and game program.
Others who contribute a minimum of $500 to the Cougar Club qualify to purchase season tickets in sections 33B and 35A, located between the North and South 30- and 40-yard lines along the east-side of the stadium. These ticket holders also receive special amenities, including priority parking and a game program.
Single-event tickets for all games, except Utah on November 22, begin at $17 for end zone seating and $30 for seats on the sidelines. Tickets for the Utah game are available for $20 in the end zone and $35 for sidelines.
Students, meanwhile, can purchase individual-game tickets for only $14. The Utah game will cost students $17 for end zone seating.
The ticket office manager said BYU students who ordered All-Sport passes can pick them up, along with season tickets, at the Marriott Center today (Wednesday, August 6.) All-Sport passes are $85 and include rotating, reserved seats for all six home games.
"We've pre-sold about 3,300 All-Sport cards," Miles said. "Students who have pre-ordered can pick those up at the ticket office beginning Wednesday. Students who haven't pre-ordered can still come to the ticket office and purchase their All-Sport card. When you get your card, you'll also get your season tickets in hand."
