Introduction: Alec Simpson

Alec Simpson is a member of the 2016 recruiting class who's already turning heads as a sophomore at Palisades (CA) High School. BYU's coaching staff has been in contact with Simpson, who hopes to visit BYU later on this summer.

Alec Simpson is a 6'3, 205-pound LB out of Palisades (CA) High School. As sophomore in 2013, he tallied 55 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble manning the middle linebacker position for the Dolphins. He's a prospect on the rise that is beginning to attract attention as a recruit.

"I have been hearing mainly from Texas Tech, BYU of course, UCLA, and Louisville. Oregon's just started looking [at me recently]," Said Simpson.

Simpson, a member of the 2016 recruiting class, is interested in BYU for a few different reasons.

"I know [that BYU] has a great stadium atmosphere," Simpson said. "I love the coaches at BYU. They are a great group of coaches and the school also has my preferred major (business)."

"What I am looking for most in the school I attend is if they have my preferred major," Simpson stated. "I also am looking for a great coaching staff, a program that's willing to win, and a great stadium atmosphere."

Alec has been able to catch a few BYU games on TV and he's impressed with what he saw.

"I love the atmosphere of [LaVell Edwards Stadium]," Said Simpson. "The entire team gets hyped to play!"

Simpson has been in contact with BYU Offensive Line Coach Garret Tujague mainly, who's responsible to recruit Southern California. He has a busy summer planned as he will attend camps in hopes of garnering more interest as a recruit.

"I plan on camping with USC, UCLA, San Diego State, and possibly Cal," Said Simpson. "I [hope to] make a visit (unofficial) to BYU in late July." will stay in contact with Simpson and catch up with him to see how things are going later on this summer. Recommended Stories
