The
California Top 100
is led by the nation's premier safety in Murrieta Vista Murrieta's Su'a Cravens. "Despite not participating in any of the big summer events,
Cravens is not only the top player in the state but the entire West region as
well. He'll play safety in college (USC commit) but plays linebacker as well as
running back and receiver for the Broncos and is a dominant player on both sides
of the ball," said National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins.

In the
Arizona Top 50,
cornerback Priest Willis out of Tempe Marcos De Niza leads the way. "Willis is still firmly planted as
the top prospect in Arizona and he proved it this summer with good
showings at The Opening and several other national events. His combination of
size and speed are what make him one of the nation's most attractive prospects,"
said Southwest Recruiting Analyst Jason Jewell.
The
Washington Top 25
has five-star quarterback Sammamish Skyline's Max Browne at the
top. "The top quarterback in the country is also the best player in the
state of Washington. The USC commit has his sights set on picking up his third
state title," said Northwest Recruiting Analyst Jake Worthen.
The
Colorado Top 25
boasts Parker Ponderosa offensive guard Christopher Fox, a Michigan commit, as
number one, but its in-state Colorado State that is making noise. "New Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain has made it priority number
one to recruit the in-state kids hard and it is paying off early. The
Rams have already received commitments from five local players including
four very talented offensive linemen, two of which also had offers from
Pac 12 program Colorado," said Jewell.
The
Utah Top 30 has
five-star passer Cooper Bateman out of Salt Lake City Cottonwood as its top
prospect. “The Alabama commit may have the highest ceiling of any quarterback in this class. While Bateman is a pure pocket passer, he is a greatly underrated athlete,”
said Worthen.
The
Oregon Top 20 is
led by a five-star running back from Beaverton Aloha, Thomas Tyner. “The
future Duck was built to play in the Oregon offense. Tyner combines world class sprinter speed with great size at 6’1” 218lbs,"
said Worthen.
The
Nevada Top 15, as
usual, is topped by a prospect from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, this year being
quarterback Anu Solomon.
"It's a very sound group of prospects in Nevada in the 2013 class. Eight players have
already committed to division-one programs and BYU and San Diego State
are doing well, snagging two each. The top prospect is QB Anu Solomon
from national power Bishop Gorman. The four-year varsity starter has
committed to Arizona were he fits in well in Rich Rod's offense. Gorman
plays five games on a national stage this year so Solomon will get his
chance to show the country what he is all about," said Jewell.
The
Hawaii Top 15 has
one of the premier linebackers in the country, Honolulu Punahou linebacker Isaac Savaiinaea,
ranked number one. "Savaiinaea has the size of a prototypical middle linebacker with the athleticism more often seen in outside linebackers. While Savaiinaea has technically opened things up, he will head to Stanford if admitted,"
said Worthen.
The
New Mexico Top 5
features a Pac-12 commit in Albuquerque La Cueva defensive end Calvin Allen.
"Allen is hands down the top prospect in the state
of New Mexico. At 6-6, 240 pounds he could end up playing a number of
different positions in college including defensive end, defensive tackle, tight
end or offensive tackle. He has
committed to Arizona as a defensive end," said Jewell.
The
Idaho Top 8 has
three Boise State verbals in the top five, including the state's top player, Joe Martarano from Fruitland. "Martarano would have likely seen his offer list explode if he hadn’t committed so early to Boise State. Broncos fans biggest worry will be the MLB draft where Martarano
could get taken high enough to sign," said Worthen.
