Josh Weeks off to great start

In his first game of the season, Arizona record-breaking wide receiver and BYU commit Josh Weeks already continued rewriting the state's record books. Already owning the 3A career receiving record, Weeks is now being considered one of the top wide receivers to have ever played in the state of Arizona.

Last weekend, Josh Weeks turned in another monster game. The Cougar commit hauled in 10 receptions for a total of 139 receiving yards and one touchdown.

While Weeks was snatching passing out of the air and raiding Moapa Valley's defensive backfield, he didn't just get it done through the air. The 6-foot-4-inch, 200-pound receiver also carried the ball nine times for 105 yards and two more touchdowns.

Weeks went behind center at the wildcat position and ran a three-play series that resulted in runs of 30, 10 and 30 yards prior to scampering into the end zone untouched. Overall on the day, Weeks recorded a whopping 244 total offensive yards and three touchdowns in Show Low's 28-26 loss to Nevada's Moapa Valley High School in the Sollenberger Classic Doubleheader at the University of Phoenix Stadium last Saturday.

The BYU commit was featured on the cover of the newspaper the White Mountain Independent with the title "Catching History." Keith Morris wrote a story on Weeks called "Weeks best WR in state history?" Weeks has set many 3A records and is close to owning many of the state's top marks among all divisions.

Throughout the season he will continue to add to the Arizona high school football records. Keep up the good work Josh Weeks!
