Matt Carlino to Transfer to BYU

Managing Editor
Posted Dec 21, 2010

BYU lands a very promising point guard prospect who will likely be asked to fill-in immediately at one of the guard spots next season. Matt Carlino's college career has been a bit turbulent at this point, but he hopes to have found a home at BYU.

Matt Carlino is a 6-2, 165 PG/SG prospect from Bloomington high school in Indiana. He signed with UCLA out of high school, but will transfer to BYU where he hopes to fill-in for seniors Jackson Emery and Jimmer Fredette.

His father, Mark, confirmed with TBS and noted that Matt is very excited for his opportunities at BYU. Matt was unavailable for comment, but we hope to have more from him later tonight.
